Leighton Woodhouse, If you eliminated the unnecessary "like"s from your comments you could say a lot more or be more concise in your speech. "like" was introduced into the American lexicon by the California Valley Girls from 20 years ago. I hoped that it would grow out of style, but it hasn't.

"Valley Girl" came out in 1983, and Valley girls talked like that for decades before that.

The gun used by the assassin wasn’t a Welrod, as suggested by Leighton. That’s according to Forgotten Weapons’ Ian McCollum, an expert in historical firearms. https://youtube.com/shorts/POubd0SoCQ8?si=QuzL6mLt_o3isrgR

Worth assuming 90% of what you hear within hours of something like this will turn out to be bullshit.

Presidential pardons are for Federal Crimes not State crimes so some of the crime examples you discussed cannot be excused with Presidential.

ah good point.

Murder though could under certain circumstances be a federal crime.

I'd like to add one HUGE one for Obama. "You can keep your doctor." Now, people are using this man's death as a substitute to call attention to the fact that the healthcare industry is screwing us all over. I mean, I had UHC this year. Finally, a hospital agreed to do my mammogram for cash because not one single imaging place was covered. And, I live near Memphis.

Mark Milley is working for a huge investment bank. They are now planning to pardon people who haven't been charged with a crime. I'm sorry, but the Democratic Party has 0 leg to stand on when it comes to Trump. It's all pathetic.

Great convo, but can you please make the audio-only version in stereo? It’s only coming thru one ear, which makes it unlistenable in my headphones.

Ditto, thanks for noting. I'm going to figure it out and fix it for the next one.

Thanks for flagging John. Another reader just pointed this out as well. Might be an issue with our recording platform Riverside. Working on a fix.

I don’t see why mourning or cheering is appropriate. There is a lot of personal blame due for the horrific public suffering caused by massive corporations, and they are led by people with names, but of course prison would be preferable. I’d love a show like COPS with Bad Boy white collar criminals being frog-walked off to something besides house arrest in their mansions. Wacha gonna do when they come for you. Not a tear shed.

I don't buy all the reported criminality of Trump, but he very likely guilty of election tampering. He was exonerated by winning the last election. Our "justice system" is skewed in favor of the rich and powerful. It is not equal justice under the law.

Th Supreme Court has not weighed in on pardons in presumptive cases. Ford pardoning Nixon was another example but not pursued. It may be a small point but there is a distinction that the media isn't picking up on.

Let’s be sure we’re as sympathetic to the crowds of SF addicted no-name dirty homeless as we are to a spoiled rich addict who helped start WWIII with Russia for the Big Guy.

If you listen to Trump interviews when he was younger he has always been passionate about the plight of the American worker & how our government was selling us out. He’s been consistent and right for a long time.
