Ending My Color Revolution of Glenn Greenwald's Show
The coup is over. Glenn will be back next week. Here are the segments from guest hosting System Update last week.
I just wrapped up a week of guest hosting for Glenn Greenwald’s System Update, his news show on Rumble. Here’s a quick recap of some of the episodes:
— I talked to Danielle Brian of the Project on Government Oversight about how to effectively cut waste and fraud, especially in the Pentagon budget. We dived into her views on DOGE and transparency issues with the Trump administration.
— Interviewed former Consumer Financial Protection Bureau chief Rohit Chopra on consumer fraud issues, “de-banking,” and the nature of freedom in a world dominated by private platforms governing our day-to-day lives.
— Faiz Shakir, the former campaign manager for Bernie Sanders, joined me to discuss class issues in the Democratic Party. Can the party ever return to its labor-centric roots, and when will it emerge from the political wilderness?
— Discussed the ongoing attempts by the U.K. government to force Apple to break end-to-end encryption with privacy expert Sean Vitka. The FBI once favored similar interventions into Apple devices, but the second Trump administration appears to have evolved significantly on the issue. We chatted about Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard’s efforts to push back against the U.K. surveillance effort.
And finally, I ended the week with our friends Leighton Woodhouse and Michael Tracey. Leighton and I took over Glenn’s show to discuss the news of the week — especially the Trump-Zelenskyy press conference. Tracey and I chatted about the pitfalls of independent media and the shifting grounds of European defense issues. I also took questions from the audience. Watch below:
